On Training and Learning and Dichotomies.
So I've been training for just over a year at this point. While a year of college, or high school is not a tremendous amount of time, when it's a 24/7 sort of a thing(or has the potential to be such) and you're learning the same stuff all day every day it's a lot more significant chunk of time. So what I'm saying is that- I've been here for a while. I started this blog before I even left Utah, and now a year has gone by and all I've had to say is 'bring a knife everywhere'. So I've probably learned a lot more than that, you're thinking. Well the truth of the matter is that I have. But there's learning skills and information about my job and then there's learning truths about life. Like 42 versus 5-25 and 550/800/3600. That was probably a bad comparison, but any chance to reference Douglas Adams shouldn't be passed up. I suppose that the point of this post is to say- 'yes, this blog still exists in my mind- I'm just hesitant to declare some life lessons until I've left the artificial environment of Training and Doctrine Command.' So there you go. That's that.
